Success, Urination and Electric Blood!
The Biters are set for world domination. Their catchy brand of sleazy real rock and roll is winning fans across the planet and with the imminent release of ‘Electric Blood’, their first album with Earache Records and an upcoming UK headline tour it seems that the bandwagon is not set to die down anytime soon. Kerrang Magazine has already called them the ‘best new rock and roll band on the planet’ and The Biters Army, as their hardcore fan base is known are displaying some incredible tattoos and fan art all over the internet. Hi guys, congratulations on the upcoming release of ‘Electric Blood’, can you tell us a little about making the album?
We made the album right outside of Atlanta with our good friend Dan Dixon. We used vintage amps and tried to stay as true to old school recording as possible! No samples, zero vocal tuning, all real drums. There’s a very powerful kinetic energy coming off the record
What’s your personal favourite song from the album; the one everyone should listen out for once they get a copy?
Well I’m a sucker for the melodic feel good tracks… but people seem to love the rippers!
I’d say ”low lives in hi-definition” or “the kid’s aint alright” are pretty good fist pumpers.
You’ve also just announced a headlining UK tour – do you have anything special planned for it?
Yeah we have and we are super excited. I think we are doing a few acoustic shows and press meetings before the tour starts aswell.
I think the label thinks we are just going to drink beer and chase pussy.. whilst that may be true ,we are going to be doing just as much work.
…and why should people decide to come out and see Biters?
Most people haven’t seen a pure bred rock n roll band that hasn’t been around for at least 20-25 years.
The Biters aren’t a throwback band but we definitely don’t follow any musical trends or jump on bandwagons.
We are playing a rare form of old-school influenced rock n roll with timeless hooks.
We also have a pretty unique look going on as well
How has life changed for you as a band since you signed with Earache Records?
Life has become very complex. A lot of work, a lot of waiting. Most importantly is the band has access to the tools it needs to succeed.

Your ‘Biters army’ are incredibly dedicated, how do you feel as a band when you see a picture of someone’s tattoo? Or artwork made for you?
I love it. First off, that means the logo is bad ass. My favourite bands are the ones with a cult following so it’s awesome to that coming to life with the Biters.
What’s some of the craziest things you’ve managed to see whilst out on tour?
I have seen it all. Naked crack whores, orgies, people shitting themselves, hardcore drug use, destruction of private property, people pissing in their mouths…. actually one night at the merch table I announced a free t-shirt to any girl who pissed on me. I laid down and a girl hovered over me with a skirt, pulled her panties to the side and pushed and pushed till a few drops of her piss poured out onto my bare chest in front of a large audience.
Apparently we ask everyone we interview this, with some interesting results, but who do you think would really win in a fight Batman or Superman?
I’m pretty sure super man is invincible and has uppercut power of 10000 kimbo slices.. Batman is just a man, not an alien. No offense to Batman but super man would wear him out.
You’re often compared to Cheap Trick and Cheap Trick are awesome, but what are some of your biggest music guilty pleasures?
Guilty music pleasure…… Abba,80’s pop, The Eagles, Taylor Swift’s red album, Dr Dre 2001, Billy Joel. Shhhhhhhh! don’t tell anyone!
and finally, can you describe Biters in 3 words? 3 words that will get our fans to go out and discover ‘Electric Blood’?
